Interview for Nanyang Technological University
Last Monday I had an interview via Skype with an academic staff from School of Computer Engineering, NTU as one of the application process. Below are some points of the interview. English was used as the language of interview.
1. Why do you want to take postgraduate study at NTU?
2. What do you know about NTU?
3. Why do you want to study Computer Graphics?
4. Have you ever learnt Computer Graphics?
5. What did you learn about it?
6. What was your undergraduate thesis about?
7. Why did you do that?
8. If you are accepted to study here, what kind of projects do you want to have?
9. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
10. Can you act as a team member?
11. What are your hobbies?
12. Tell me 2 subjects that you are good at.
13. What programming languages do you have experience with?
14. Did you code a lot?
15. What programming environments do you have experience with?
16. What did you do after graduation?
17. What is the result of your English test?
18. Do you have other questions?
Then I asked 2 questions :
1. When will I get the offcial result of my application?
2. I have downloaded your projects proposal. Can I do research in <name of topic>?
Lastly, he asked me to download many journals and analyze them, since in the first months new students are expected to read journals. Well, I look forward to studying there.
